The kids were in the crib as I was strapped to a baby to my back. Ha! Ha! It all started to make sense, but was far from finished. This was going take the time, energy, and my favorite shopping to furnish this house. My three sons and me looked for treasures hidden attending estate sales in order to reduce my expenses. Every week, we would walk through estate sales and garage sales on Saturdays and Thursdays buying a mixture of new and old pieces. My next task was to spend the rest of my time painting and sanding outside in our driveway. My passion for furniture restoration began with a look like this. Even though our home was equipped, I couldn't put down. In the market in town, I rented a small space, and also sold objects. Eventually I had more pieces that I knew how to use them and outgrew the space. My house was transformed into a space in which I held open houses, where up to 1,000 people could view the items on the first floor, and then purchase them. My company Growing Days began here. Growing Days wasn't just a thriving business but also my sweet family. In a way, I had found the perfect balance between being a mum and launching my business. Growing Days just fit. The year was 2013, and my lovely daughter Nora came along our 4th child. My business's direction was great, but I had to get some down time. I made the decision to take a break and stay at home, with my kids. That was exactly what i wanted. It was only after several months when the phones began to be ringing. People were calling me and needing help with decorating their homes and interior improvements. The majority of people who contacted me were people who had attended one of my furniture open houses. After that, I gradually took on more clients, according to my own pace. Soon I had multiple customers and was operating an enterprise of renovations to homes. I'm sure you would have made me laugh if you had said that this would become the basis of the DIY Network tv series. Actually I still kind of laugh when I think about the idea.
