Carano is born in Dallas County, Texas, and raised to Las Vegas, Nevada, the daughter of Dana Joy Cason and casino executive and former professional football player Glenn Carano. She was the middle daughter from three sisters. Gina was solely raised by her mother, when the divorce of her parents occurred aged seven. Lucasfilm's decision to remove Gina Carano after the second season finale in 2021 was a consequence of her internet-based controversy. This means that you cannot expect to see New Republic marshal Cara Dune being featured on The Mandalorian, or future Star Wars tales.
